Club Christmas Speech

Companies aren’t the only ones who haveChristmas parties. Clubs and associations have them too. Whether it’s the local sports club, a charitable organisation or a residents' association someone usually says a few words on the occasion. It’s the ideal opportunity to be motivational and inspirational. Obviously a Christmas party is a social event so the speech has to be short and light-hearted. Yet it is also a time to congratulate those involved for their help and participation over the year. So make them feel good about their involvement. Make them feel valued. Mention some of the successes and events in the past year.  It is also time to mention plans for the forthcoming year. You should speak of the challenges ahead and your belief that those present will meet them with their usual enthusiasm and expertise.  So your speech has to be optimistic and upbeat and of course mention the Christmas season. End by saying that you hope they will put the same enthusiasm into celebrating the party as they have done into their membership of the club/association/organisation during the past year.  Obviously then you will wish all your members the compliments of the season.
